Your loft is a large area in your home that you have paid for, but never use. Lofts & Ladders, the Loft Specialists, have pre-designed a system which creates easy access with one of their unique ladders.

When you require access into your loft you only have to give a light pull on the safety catch with the aluminum pole provided.

The trapdoor will open, the counter balance springs take all the weight, and it slowly swings down until it reaches it's full arch, automatically locking into place.

Once the trapdoor is open, it automatically locks into place and you simply reach up and lower the steps.

Safety first

The ladder has a strong metal safety handle, the treads of the steps are machined with non-slip grooves and are 84mm wide to give you a good sound footing for extra safety. The steps are made of the highest grade South African Pine and have been tested by the CSIR to withstand over 500kg without deflection.

The ladder locks into place once folded down and will remain that way until all of your weight is completely off it.

To fold the ladder away simple lift the bottom section, this unlocks the ladder, and fold it away the same way you folded it down.

Now access into your loft is easy and convenient, the folding of the ladders normally takes less than 10 seconds.

There are a number of trapdoor sizes, all large enough to get a hot water geyser through. Starting at 685 x 1200mm, special sizes can be made. You do not need to place the new ladder into the same position as the old trap door; it can be installed in any convenient place.
